[etrade] 1000 show celebration w/ WOB

Etree Friends,

 

The early days of the digital revolution with discs coming and going in the
mail and then logins on servers has long been replaced by bit torrent.  It
was a beautiful time of community.  But the amazing kindness of the many
seeders and tapers using bit torrent to share is awesome too.

 

If it wasn't for all of the kindness of the many friends who shared their
music, especially in the first part of this decade, I, for one, would not
have made it to 1000 shows on my list in etree.  It only seems appropriate
that number 1000 for me was a Charlie Miller transfer of the Grateful Dead -
March 24, 1971.  That's as good as it gets.  For that I am grateful and
would like to say thanks to all of you out there that taped, seeded, traded
and passed the music on.  

 

WOB:  I'd like to give a little back to the etree family to whom ever is
interested - just reply to this email for a login/password to my server and
I'll dedicate some bandwidth to you and put up whatever you'd like from my
list for you to download.
