[etrade] mkw/winamp question

hey now, fellas, i've had a few problems recently with the two programs that i used to never have problems with: mkw and winamp. when i want to decode shns to wav, all i used to do is right click the shns and click "decode to wav;" now i have to open mkw and drag and drop them there...any reason why?  also, with winamp, when i try to play .shns, whether via double-clicking, going to "add files," adding to the queue---whatever---they do not play.  says "00:00," cursor goes back nd forth, but no play...any reason why?  thanks, fellas, for any help.
