[Bt-discuss] Some download/upload questions for a new user

Hi,

I'm brand new to this, having stumbled across it while
searching for a copy of a Black Crowes show online.  I
haven't traded music since I traded tapes through a
Jefferson Airplane Mailing list in college, about 9
years ago.  Things sure are different now.

So different that I'm not sure I know enough even to
get started.  Can someone help me out?  I managed to
download bittornado, and start downloading that one
show, but I don't know if it's going well or not. 
Currently the light is black, which probably isn't
good.  Do I need "seeder help?"

Also, I tried to adjust the settings on my firewall,
as suggested on the bt.etree home page, but I'm not
sure I did it right.  I noticed that some "leeches"
have their IP addresses "routed" through those buzz
ports, 6881, 6882, etc. and that mine is not.  How can
I changed that?

Can I download more than one show at a time?  How long
should it usually take?  How do I convert to mp3 once
it's downloaded?  How do I convert my files to
bittorrent to upload them, and where do I go to do
that?

Any help would be huge.  I really appreciate someone
taking the time to lend a hand to a new user.  I also
have a pretty big selection of great quality live
shows I'd be glad to open up for sharing, once I
figure out how...
